Katherine G. Rigby (“Kate”) practices primarily in the areas of labor and employment law.  She represents management in the broad range of issues related to the employment relationship.

Ms. Rigby handles the following matters:
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and state agency matters from filing the charge of discrimination, the ensuing investigation, through issuance of the right-to-sue.
Litigating claims in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies involving wrongful discharge, breach of contract, unemployment compensation, negligent hiring and retention, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other federal statutes and state laws.

Counseling employers on all human resource issues, including employment agreements, handbooks and policies, hiring new employees, employee discipline and terminations, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
